SOMEONE I MET
SOMEONE I SEE, ONCE OR TWICE,
FOR ONLY I SEE, THIS IS NICE.
AT THIS TIME, I HAVE TO ASK WHY,
SOMEONE I MET, ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY.
HE SEEMS TO BE NICE, HOW NICE, A GREAT GUY.
WE SMILE, WE TALK; SOMEHOW WE KNOW HOW.
SOMEONE I MET, GOD ONLY KNOWS WHY,
NOTHING SEXUAL, CASUAL IS HOW WE TRY.
TIME MAY GO BY, WHAT A NICE GUY, ALL I DO
IS TALK, I DON’T EVEN HAVE TO TRY.
I GROW FROM PAIN AND LEARN TO
MAINTAIN, WHAT ‘S TO TREASURE AND
WHAT IS TO BE GAINED.
THE SUFFERING, THE PAIN SOMEHOW REMAINS,
THEN TALKING WITH HIM BECOMES A CHANGE
A MEANS TO KNOW SOMEONE I MET.
A SADNESS IN HIS EYES, FOR I SEE WE HAVE SHARED
THE SAME.
SOMEONE I MET, NO INTENTIONS YET, FRIENDSHIP
COULD BE GREAT WITH THIS MAN I MET.
SOMEONE I SEE ONCE OR TWICE,
FOR ONLY I SEE THIS COULD BE NICE.
NO PRESSURE, SOME FEARS, CAN THIS BE REAL,
NO HOPES, NO DREAMS
JUST SOMEONE I MET.
